Fiona & Christopher, Dundas Castle, South Queensferry. Scottish Wedding Photography

As the days are drawing in and the weather turning colder, we were looking forward to being back at one of Edinburgh's best wedding venues.
Fiona and Christopher had chosen Dundas Castle for their Scottish wedding, and truly showed if off to their many international guests in style - throughout the castle and marquee lit candles, pink roses and hydrangea brightened the place, while the lit fires, the beautiful rooms and the many personal touches throughout made this day a perfect Scottish winter wedding.

Fiona and her maids were getting ready in one of the bedrooms.

Adding final touches to her speech(!)

The youngest guest at the wedding, the adorable two-week-old Fred, with his mum, Fiona's good friend Natasha.

Check out the gorgeous shoes!

Sweet-as-candy flowergirl Olivia takes a break from all the bridal preparation.

Love the antique brooch necklaces the bridesmaids wore.

Meanwhile the boys were getting ready downstairs.

After the ceremony we took a few photos of the newlyweds inside the old stone walls of The Keep.

Braving the rain to get into the castle!

There is an old Japanese saying that if you fold a thousand paper cranes, you will have a thousand years of happiness and prosperity. Fiona lived in Japan for a while, so it was entirely fitting that pink paper cranes were used to decorate the tables and as place cards for the guests.

The wedding cake was a magnificent crochembouche

The speeches brought laughter and tears...

We love it when a bride gets up to speak at a wedding - Fiona's speech was both funny and tender.

The first dance had everyone on the dance floor for an Orcadian Strip the Willow

Fiona and Christopher, we really enjoyed photographing your wedding, you two are such a brilliant match. We wish you a thousand years of happiness and prosperity, and look forward to showing you the rest of the photos when you are back from your honeymoon!
