Laura & Stephen engagement photographs, Lauriston Castle Edinburgh

When the rain falls incessantly for what seems like months, it can be risky to arrange an outdoor engagement shoot. But when I met up with Laura and Stephen one evening this week at Lauriston Castle, we couldn't believe our luck - the warm evening sun made everything look just magical.

Laura and Stephen, I loved sharing this balmy evening with you and getting to know you a little better. I am so looking forward to photographing your wedding later this year!

Frances-Ann & Michele, St Mary RC Church, Haddington & Broxmouth Park, Dunbar

One ordinary Thursday morning, we received a call from a groom enquiring about our wedding photography services. He was looking for a wedding photographer for his wedding... two days later!
Thankfully we were available and so two days later, on a rainy Saturday, we headed to one of our new favourite East Lothian wedding venues, Broxmouth Park.

With a close-knit family and good friends around them, Frances and Michele had the perfect recipe for a brilliant wedding, and we felt very lucky to be there to capture it. We loved how everyone laughed and smiled in the face of the incessant rain, and how Frances and Michele were so happy in each other's company (and brilliant to photograph!)

Here is a little preview of the photos - enjoy!

Frances and Michael, we really enjoyed photographing your day and are so happy you called us that Thursday.
We hope you have enjoyed your honeymoon (and that you found the sun!) and really look forward to showing you the rest of the photos when they are ready.

Fiona & Andy, Morningside Parish Church & Signet Library, Edinburgh | Wedding Photography

You may remember Fiona and Andy's engagement shoot I blogged recently - I'm pleased to bring you the main attraction today - their fabulous Edinburgh wedding!

Fiona and Andy were married the weekend of the Queen's Jubilee, and their red, white and blue colour theme and Union Jack ribbon on favours were in perfect keeping with this.

The day was full of lovely details and fun moments to photograph. Keep an eye out for how Fiona and Andy have cleverly drawn inspiration from having their wedding in a library and used word definitions in their stationery and table names. And the lovely old family wedding photographs on their candy buffet. And the flowergirl in top hat. And not least the beautiful flowers by Planet Flowers and the culinary flowers by Heritage Portfolio!

As if all that wasn't enought, at the end of the night, guests were asked to head outside where they were treated to a fantastic performance by the North Berwick Pipe Band (as were the hundred-odd tourists who gathered to watch!) It was amazing - goosebumps all round!

Fiona and Andy, we so loved getting to know you and your family! Thank you for having us at your wedding and for being so easy to photograph.

We hope you are enjoying your honeymoon (soak up that sun before you come back to chilly Britain!) and look forward to showing you the rest of the photos when you are back!
